How to read and listen

Download after purchase, open it in the matching app, and you’re set. If you get stuck, the help section below walks you through it step by step.

Important: Use each file with its matching app for the best, native experience. Open the Apple Books file in Apple Books, the Kindle file with Kindle (or Send to Kindle), the Kobo file with Kobo. The PDF opens everywhere.

For iPhone and iPad

Open in Apple Books. Text size adapts for easy, book-like reading.

For Kobo

Ready for Kobo devices and the Kobo app. Comfortable, book-like pages.

For Kindle

Add with Send to Kindle. It appears on your Kindle and in the Kindle app.

PDF for any device

Opens everywhere. Handy on laptops and for printing a few pages.

Start in three simple steps

  1. Find your links. After checkout you’ll see Download buttons on the order page and you’ll also get an email with the same links.
  2. Pick the right file. Apple Books for Apple Books, Kindle for Kindle, Kobo for Kobo. The PDF works on any device.
  3. Tap Download. Choose Open in / Open with and pick the matching app. That’s all.

Try a free sample first

Use the free sample chapter and audio sample on the product page to check your device. If the samples play nicely, the full book will too.

What each file is for

EPUB (.epub)

eBook with adjustable text – best for reading apps like Apple Books, Kindle (via Send to Kindle), and Kobo (device or Import Items on Android). Pages reflow to your font size.

PDF (.pdf)

Looks like a printed page – great on laptops/desktops and for printing a few pages. Opens everywhere.

MP3 (.mp3)

Common audio tracks – play in almost any music or audiobook app. Good for simple playback.

Audiobook (.m4b)

Audiobook format that remembers your place and supports chapters. Use Book Player on iPhone or Smart AudioBook Player on Android.

iPhone

  1. Tap Download on your order page or in your email.
  2. In the share sheet choose Books for Apple Books, Kindle for Kindle, or Kobo for Kobo.
  3. If you don’t see the app, tap Save to Files, then open Files → Share → Open in and pick the app.
  4. PDF opens in Books or any PDF app.
iPhone share sheet (example)
  • Open in Books
  • Open in Kindle
  • Open in Kobo
  • Save to Files

Android

  1. Tap Download. Android saves the file and shows a notification.
  2. Tap the notification and choose Open with. Pick Kindle or a PDF app.
  3. If you don’t see the app, open your Files/Downloads app, find the file, and use Open with.

Kindle Share → Send to Kindle, and keep Add to your library ON to sync across your Kindle apps and devices.

Kobo In the Kobo app: Profile → Import Items (non-DRM EPUB only). Imports don’t sync; they stay on that device.

Send to Kindle by email (fallback)
  • Find your Send-to-Kindle address in the Kindle app: More → Settings → Send-to-Kindle Email Address.
  • Email the EPUB as an attachment to that address (first time from a new sender, confirm the email from Amazon).
  • Open the Kindle app and look in Library (Docs/All). It will sync to your Kindle apps/devices on the same account.

iPad & other tablets

  1. Same as phones: tap Download, then Open in the matching app.
  2. On iPad the Apple Books file looks beautiful in Books. The PDF is great on larger screens.

Kindle e-reader

  1. Download the Kindle file on your phone or computer.
  2. Use Send to Kindle (app or website) so it appears on your Kindle and in the Kindle app when you’re signed in to the same Amazon account.
  3. Connect your Kindle to Wi-Fi; it will show up in your library.

“Open with → Kindle” on your phone reads fine on that phone. Use Send to Kindle if you also want it on a Kindle e-reader.

Kobo e-reader

  1. On a computer, download the Kobo file from your order.
  2. Plug your Kobo into the computer with a USB cable and drag the file onto the Kobo. Safely eject; it appears in your library.
  3. On supported models you can also use Kobo + Dropbox.

Kobo phone-app imports stay on that phone and do not sync to a Kobo e-reader. To read on a Kobo device, use USB or Dropbox.

PDF works on Kobo e-readers. On Android, the Kobo app doesn’t add PDFs to its library, use a PDF app instead.

Laptop & desktop

  1. Click the Download link on your order page or in your email.
  2. Mac: double-click the Apple Books file to open in Books. Use the PDF in Preview or any PDF reader.
  3. Windows: use the PDF in your preferred reader. To send the Kindle file to a Kindle device, use Send to Kindle. For Kobo, copy the Kobo file to your e-reader with a USB cable.

Audiobook

iPhone

  1. Tap Download for the audiobook.
  2. Choose Book Player on the share sheet. It supports chapters and remembers your place.
  3. If saved to Files: Files → Share → Book Player.

Android

  1. Tap Download. When finished, tap the download notification.
  2. Open in an audiobook app that supports local files, like Smart AudioBook Player.
  3. MP3s play in most music apps; for bookmarks/sleep timers, use an audiobook app.
Smart AudioBook Player: quick setup for audiobook files
  • Create a folder such as Internal storage → My Audiobooks → Book Title. Move your audiobook file (M4B) into that Book Title folder.
  • In the app: go to Library → Settings → Root folder and choose your My Audiobooks (or Downloads) folder.
  • Return to Library and tap Update to scan. Keeping each book in its own subfolder works best.
  • Allow storage/media permissions if asked. Store-bought protected files won’t play; use DRM-free audio.

Computer

  1. Download to your computer and play with your preferred player, or move the file to your phone and open in your audiobook app.
